Recycling
« Back to What We DidOur school, just like any other, generates a lot of waste. We do our best to recycle it where possible.

All our waste is put in the same bins, which are taken away by a rubbish collection company. They then process the rubbish, removing any recyclables and using them as appropriate. This is a more effective method for us as students and staff do not need to remember to sort their waste, less space is used as there is only one bin needed per classroom, and there are no problems with recyclables being mixed together. However, it is more expensive to do it this way.

Gardening waste from around the grounds is composted. When it has rotted down it is reused on the gardens around the site.
At CRGS, Young Enterprise seize the opportunity for mobile phone recycling, and the CRGSA (which helps to fund the school), collects Ink Cartridges to be recycled.
The EcoLearning team have sought to highlight the benefits of these recycling initiatives to students at the school and information is available on the noticeboard.
